Mood boards cover the walls, meticulously detailed product drawings lie on the tables. There is also no shortage of yarns, labels, buttons and fabrics when you walk into Wolke 7 – Alberto’s creativity center looking out on the roofs of Mönchengladbach. Everything here revolves around one thing: pants. Of all kinds. Bleached denim figures largely; brushed satin, striking vintage twill and unmistakable attention to detail give Alberto’s Spring/Summer collection a markedly progressive note. Cotton pants made of Italian yarn in exclusive tailored style or hand-dyed Compact Cotton models brushed on the right side testify to its quality. The denims are somewhat rougher: in the coming season, Alberto’s jeans range is dominated by bleached looks and light blue.

A 90-year old family business of trouser manufacturing inspired the founding of Alberto in 1922. A traditional business, it gathered considerable know-how about trousers and their manufacturing in the course of its long history. With the Fall/Winter collection 2013/2014, the label exhibits its accomplished handling and processing of fabrics. Tweed, flannel, cotton and denim trousers and removal of gaudy embellishments are characteristic of this trouser manufacturer, where the quality of the material speaks for itself. The Fall/Winter collection has been divided into three sections: Smart Dressy, Chinos Style and Jeans. The collection's progressive sensibility is quite evident: the creations are masculine and pure and win over with their well-cut dressy pants, puristic, lightly processed jeans and narrow-cut chinos.

Having been involved in the trouser making business since 1922, Alberto has long been one of the established brands within the industry. In their new autumn/winter collection the gentlemen's trouser makers from Germany are demonstrating the reason for this with their passion for fabrics and materials: perfectly finished tweed, flannel and wool trousers à la 1950s, slim-fit trousers made from Italian cord, and a select range of denims, all exhibiting the finest craftsmanship. These 3 design concepts form Alberto's launching pad for the winter: the smart-dressy look, the chino look and the denim style define the ranges within the collection. What all three concepts have in common is that the trousers do not dictate any one style, since almost all parts of the collection can be worn casually or as sophisticated fashion items.
